Vacancies
A professional Institute with headquarters in Lagos is presently restructuring with a view to providing adequate staffing and requisite succession planning platform for its operations.

Applications are therefore invited for employment into the following positives:
  1. Deputy Director-General
  2. Assistant Director, Examinations
  3. Manager. Internal Audit
  4. Manger, I.T
Positions and Job Requirements
1. Deputy Director – General  
The Deputy Director General shall be a fit and proper person. The Ideal Candidates should not be below the age of 50years, by December 2010 and should possess varied experience in administration with a track record of integrity and performance.
i.                     Report to the Director General of the institute.
ii.                   Oversee the Examination and Membership portfolio of the Institute 
iii.                  Deputises for the DG in his absence.
iv.                 Any other duties that may be assigned.

Job Requirement 
i.                     Must have a degree (minimum of Second Class, Lower Division) from a reputable University in Insurance or other Social Science disciplines or equivalent. 
ii.                   Must be a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria
iii.                   Must have 12 years post qualifying experience.
iv.                 Must have held a similar position in an Insurance or related company for at least five years.

2. Assistant Direct, Examinations
i.                     The Assistant Director, Examinations will report to the Director of Examinations.
ii.                   Preparation of reports on each examination diet.
iii.                  Assists in the preparation for the conduct of examinations
-         Question Setting
-         Conduct Examinations
-         Record Keeping
-         Every other assignment that may be given by the Director of Examinations.

Job Requirement 
i.                     Must not less than 30 years by December, 2010.
ii.                   Must have a degree (Minimum of Second, Lower Division) from a recognized University in Insurance, Education, or the Social Science.
iii.                  Must be a member of the Chartered insurance Institute of Nigeria.
iv.                 Must have 8 years post qualification experience.

3. Manager (Internal Audit)     
i.                     Report to the Director-General of the Institute.
ii.                   Ensure adherence to all financial guidelines in place for the institute.
iii.                  Develop and oversee the implementation of the Internal Control framework.
iv.                 Review policies and procedure and conducted audit reviews.
v.                   Liaise with External Auditors.

Job Requirements
-         Must not be less than 30 years by December, 2010.
-         Must have a degree (minimum of second class lower division) from a reputable University or equivalent.
-         Must be a member of the Institution of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria.
-         Must have 5 years post qualifying experience


4. Manger (I.T) 
The Information Technology Manager will be responsible for designing, developing and managing the technologies that drive the institutes operations. These include computer Infrastructure, communications infrastructure, software applications and other payment/telecom devices.
i.                     report to the Deputy Director-General
ii.                   Supervises the IT infrastructure for the institute.
iii.                  Provide Strategies direction for the institutes I.T deployment
iv.                 Scale existing IT infrastructure to meet the organizations strategies need.
v.                   Design/deploy new IT infrastructure/systems as may be required
vi.                 Ensuring that the IT infrastructure/systems as constantly available and performing efficiently to meet set goals.
vii.                 Build the organization’s IT infrastructure security network.
viii.              Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements
-         Must not be less than 30 years by December, 2010
-         Must have a degree in computer Science (Minimum of second class lower division) from a recognized university or equivalent
-         Must have at least 5 years cognate experience in computing and I.t. administration.
