Palm Oil Plantation Job Multiple Vacancy (Cross Rivers State)

There exist opening in a plantation Estate in Cross Rivers State for the positions stated below.


Position One
Palm Oil Manager (Factory Manager)
Qualification
B.Sc./B.Eng in Mechanical/Agric Engineerin from a reputable institution in Nigeria Applicats with HND and sound experinece may also apply.

Experinece Required
Minimum of 5 years experinece in the management of Palm Oil Milling plant of 5 – 1 om tons per hour is very essential.
Responsibilities
i.                    Manpower Manager: Recruitment where necessary, training and development to enhance perfomance.
ii.                  Production to achieve Company’s set quality and quantitative targets.
iii.                Plant modificatuion and new plants installation when the need arises.
iv.                Repairs and Maintennace planning and execution.
v.                  Production cost mamnagement and effective cost reduction program.
vi.                Prepare the factory for necessary certifcation

Position
Assistant Research and Development Manager
Qualification
B.Sc in Agronomy, Crop Science or Botany

Experinece Required
The Candidate mst posses a minimum of Seven (7) years experinece in the management of a large planatation. A master’s degree in a relevant course of study will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities
i.                    Technical/professional guidance that is required to run a stabdard population in the areas of pest and disease contreol, coil conservation/minera nutrition, plantation waste management etc.
ii.                  Ensure that set quality standards are met in the course of our field/factoru operations.
iii.                Conduct regular field in our plantation and make the result of such trials available for relevant units for use.
iv.                Maintain the needed link with other professional bodies, sister plantations and relevant governemnt agencies/trade unions with a view to ensuring a vibrant and effective operation.
v.                  Conduct periodic field audit and ensure that observed deviatrion from standard is remedied by the relevant unit.
vi.                Facilitates the in-house and external programme desibned to sharpen the skill of employees in the company.
vii.              Maintain the nusery programme of the company and also overview the ongoing development programme.
viii.            Initiate new and relevant developent programme for the comapy.
ix.                Manage the company’s recoprd on crop yield and utilizing same to generate accurate crop forecast for the company to guide her annual budgeting.

Position Three Human Resources Manager
Qualification
B.Sc. in Sociology, Business Administration aor any social Sciences.

Experinece Required
5 years experinece in the middle management cadre in a reputable organization.

Responsibilities
1.      Recruitment and training/man power development: ensure that the right personal in terms of skill and knowledge is recruited for use in the company.
2.      Manage the entire workforce with a view to ensuring a team of motivated and productive workforce is achieved.
3.      Records: ensure that staff’s records are upfdated as necessary.
4.      Industrial Relations: maitnin the necessary links with relevant bodies, agencies communities with a view to ensuring industrial harmony.
5.      Security: Ensure that the right atmosphere of peace and security is maintained in the company

Psotion Four
Field Operations Manager
Qualification
B.Sc in Agronomy, Crop Science, Botany or Forestry.

Expernce
Minimum of 7 years work experinec in the management if a large scaleplanatation preferably oil palm or rubber plantation.

Responsibilities
i.                    Provide the professional guide for the day to day running of our polatation
ii.                  Implementation a cost effective field upkeep activities in our estate.
iii.                Harvest, transport and deliver to our factory the crop volume expected for the respective estates in line with the annual crop plain.
iv.                Compile and implement the year’s budget in a cost effective manner that will ensure appropriate returns for the company.
v.                  Provide the leadership skill that is required to run an effective plantation.
vi.                Relate wel with the community to ensure that a conducive atmosphere is obtained for a hitch free operations.

Field Supervisors
Qualification
B.Sc in Agronomy, Crop Science Botany or forestry
Experinece Required
i.                    Manage the day to day activities in the field to ensure set targhets for crop are met.
ii.                  Effective utilization of labour, materials and other inputs provided for the operations.
iii.                Ensure the fields are weeded and pruned and fertilized to ensure the trees are in good health.
iv.                Manage the evacuation of crops to the factory and ensure the roads are in good condition to support crops movement.
v.                  Ensure the security fo men and materials deployed for within the estate.
vi.                Ensure effective cost management of plantation activities.
