ECEWS Requesting for the Services of a Medical Director

 A reputable non-governmental organization (NGO) with an international affiliation based in Uyo, Akwa Ibin State implementing a comprehensive family focused HIV/AID prevention with different tiers of government in Akwa Ibon State, Cross River State requires the services of resourceful and experienced professional for the following position:


Key Functions  
  1. The Deputy Director Programme technical guide to ECEWS project team HIV/AID prevention and umbrella programs.
  2. The successful candidates will supervise a team of  multi-disciplinary professional officer providing technical assistance and support to facilities and community based organization.
  3. He/She will provide leadership to the strategic information team and will assist with individual and site work planning programme planning and budget and report to the donor
  4. The deputy director program management will assist the project director in managing and monitoring the progress of work and performance indicators.
  5. The position will foster productive working relationship between our organization and partner organization while maintaining an excellent relationship with counterpart at the state and local level, USG implementing partner and locast institution.
  6. He or She will represent the organization effectively and productively in engagements with stakeholders within target state especially key state government officials.

Qualification   
Medical doctors in prevention and HIV/AIDS management experience.

3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the design and management of programs and monitoring evaluation for health care service in developing countries. PEPFAR experienced preferred. Note Candidates familiar with PEPFAR Nigeria monitoring and evaluation technical working group are preferred.

Experience in strengthening M&E and SI systems (Health facilities, District level and ministries of Health) in developing countries.

 Strong Verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Knowledge of Best practices in HIV and experience in capacity building of health care workers at service delivery point.

Familiarity with the Nigerian logistic management information system and experience in preparing program report essentials.

Strong ability to build network and partnership.
Familiarity with PEPFAR Nigeria Pooled M&E system strongly preferred.
Strong time management and organization skill; demonstrated ability to work well independently and in team.

Track record of being able to produce work in a timely manner with flexibility when necessary to adopt to changing work conditions.
